Organization Kinvolved is the leading services and software organization galvanizing students, parents, teachers, leaders, and community members around a shared goal: To increase student achievement by eradicating chronic absenteeism. We take a holistic approach to fighting chronic absenteeism, combining technology tools and human interventions to change the deeply ingrained behaviors and external factors affecting student attendance. As we prepare to enter a new round of fundraising, we are enlisting your help preparing a unique and effective value proposition that will be most meaningful to potential investors.

    • What products and services do they offer? How well are each of their products/ services performing?
    • Who are their target customers?
    • What is the scope of their coverage?
    • What is their current pricing strategy? What does their pricing model look like?
    • What channels do they use to reach customers?
    • How do they market their services/products? What is their messaging?
    • How do customers perceive their product design, quality, and price?

    Suggested Deliverable:

    Produce an overview deck to present internally based on your understanding of the company. This internal exercise is to ensure everyone is on the same page and understands the business model before moving on to more critical areas of the project. Please be sure to raise any questions that arise as a result of these discussions.

  • March 23, 2021 - Competitor Analysis

    • Who are Kinvolved’s key competitors relative to the products/services offered?
    • What are their product offerings and pricing? What pricing strategies do they utilize?
    • Who are their target customers?
    • How do they market their comparable services/products? What is their messaging?
    • How do customers perceive Kinvolved’s competitor’s product design, quality, and price?
    • What are the strengths of Kinvolved’s competitors’ products/services?
    • What are the weaknesses or limitations of Kinvolved’s competitors’ products/services?

  • March 24, 2021 - Research Potential Investors

    Conduct research (e.g. published lists of individuals and firms) to identify individuals and firms that have invested in:

    • the target sector
    • the stage of Kinvolved’s development as a business
    • population served/K-12
    • has other complimentary investments
    • mission driven
    • knowledge of target industry

    Research their investment criteria and learn about investors that may be interested in this opportunity.

  • March 25, 2021 - Develop Value Proposition Statement and Pitch Deck

    • How is Kinvolved differentiated from competitors/other providers?
